Definition of pre-, intra- and postoperative administration in PROSPECT reviews

Unless otherwise stated, ‘pre-operative’ refers to interventions applied before surgical incision, ‘intra-operative’ refers to interventions applied after incision and before wound closure, ‘postoperative’ refers to interventions applied at or after wound closure.
